2022 Playbook Football 10 Questions Interviews

1. When did you begin handicapping sports professionally, and how did you get started?
I got started by being a sports forum handicapper. I quickly built up a following, and that triggered it all. I have been at it for better than 30 years.

2. Who has most influenced your handicapping career?
I would say Dr. Bob. He was successful and transparent, and I have had a lot of interaction with him.

3. What is your primary method approach to handicapping sports?
I use betting situations from a database, that flags games of interest. I make my own betting lines and if the situation also has line value, and everything else looks good there is a good chance it will make my play list.

4. What is the biggest score you've made in your sports wagering career?
I had a 26/1 prop on Edelman to be the Super Bowl MVP and he won it.

5. What is the worst bad beat you've suffered in your sports wagering career?
There have been plenty. I have lost 3 times on Hail Mary passes, but the one that stands out is way back when Mark Aguirre was at DePaul I had DePaul -17.5. They were up by 19 with the opponent inbounding with 2 seconds left. This was before the 3 point shot. A kid threw one in from 3/4 court to beat me.

6. Who are your favorite NFL and College Football teams, and why?
I went to and played baseball at UConn so it has always been UConn. I grew up in Connecticut and because my Dad was a Packer fan, I have been one my whole life.

7. Which NFL and College Football teams do you feel will be the biggest surprise in 2022?
I think Denver is going to surprise a lot of people. When they are good they have a tremendous home field advantage, and if things go right they could win it. The college team I have my eye on is Oklahoma St. They have been knocking on the door they may be ready to break through.

8. Which NFL and College Football teams do you feel will be the biggest disappointment in 2022?
I think Tampa Bay is expecting big things, but one day Tom Brady's performance is going to fall of a cliff. We may see that this year. I think Clemson is going to be similar to last year and be good but not what they have been up until last year.

9. Do you feel the College Football Playoff should expand, and if so to how many teams?
I think 16 is a good number. There is no more argument that someone that could have won was left out. They would need to reduce the schedule to 10 or 11 games.

10.What is your best handicapping advice heading into the 2022 football season?
A lot changes from year to year. Get a feel for what is going on and don't get greedy. Many tap out early in the season being too aggressive. It's a marathon. Do your homework and be prepared, and bet smart.
