NBA - (529) UTAH at (530) L.A. CLIPPERS  10:30 ET   TNT  (side and total)

The Jazz took series opener, however, bettors are thinking the old - zig zag theory - will apply and moved the L.A. Clippers from -7 to -9 in Game 2. This theory used to be very profitable, but oddsmakers caught on and it is rather insignificant these days. With the Clips on the rise it would seem to correlate the total would he rising and it has, up two points to 198.5. No question Utah losing Rudy Gobert is a big blow to their defense, yet I see the Jazz covering, just with a higher score.

Betting Trend - 55% backing Utah and 59% on Over
Doug's VPID Take - Lean Utah and Over

MLB – (903) PHILADELPHIA at (904) N.Y. METS  7:10 ET  CSP, SNY

It is rare to have a total move a full run, yet we have two today, this one and the next in this article. Both the Phillies and Mets offenses have not looked good in piling up the losses of late, both scoring under four runs a game. With this, the total has tumbled from 8.5 to 7.5. Here is the problem, Zack Wheeler is still finding his way back from Tommy John surgery and has 7.45 ERA. Zach Eflin steps in for an injured Clay Buchholz and unless he is really sharp, the right-hander is supported by the NL's 13th rated bullpen, who has an ERA of 5.62. With these rivals 13-5 OVER of late at this location, like the OVER.

Betting Trend - 89% on the Over
Doug's VPID Take - Play Over

MLB – (913) CHIC. WHITE SOX at (914) N.Y. YANKEES  7:05 ET  CSN+, YES (side and total)

The new Bronx Bombers have won eight straight and have the full support of wagering community, as they have blown up from -155 to -205 or higher. The Pinstripes are averaging 6.1 runs per game in this hot streak and other than the 10 runs Chicago scored in one game over the weekend in Cleveland, the White Sox have totaled 13 runs in seven other contests. With the Pale Hose offense scuffling, the total has fallen from 8.5 to 7.5. The thinking here is Luis Severino's hard stuff can dominate Chicago's hitters and Sox starter Miguel Gonzalez has a 2.90 ERA in his past 15 starts. I definitely do not see and Under here and will take a small lean on Chicago with Gonzalez 7-0 as an underdog of +175 to +250. (Team's Record)

Betting Trend - 52% backing Over and 72% on New York
Doug's VPID Take - Play Over, lean Chicago

NHL – (53) PITTSBURGH at (54) COLUMBUS  7:35 ET  CNBC

Hockey bettors are convinced this series has a very good chance to end tonight and have marched the Penguins from +100 to -125 over Columbus. The fact is, Pittsburgh has more stars, playmakers and speed than the Blue Jackets. Columbus had defensive issues late in the season when they could have won their division over Washington and Pittsburgh and those have continued into the postseason. If the Pens come to play, they take this game and the Jackets are 8-21 at home after allowing three goals or more in three straight contests.

Betting Trend - 97% backing Pittsburgh
Doug's VPID Take - Pittsburgh wins
