1. 1. I passed up the opportunity to obtain a SAG card when I was in Cleveland. I was in a regional television commercial and had the opportunity to either be compensated or obtain a SAG card. I opted for the compensation and still regret it to this day as I wonder how my life might have changed.
2. 2. I received one of the coolest football-related Christmas gifts that I could think of receiving. My all-time favorite NFL player is Jack Youngblood. My wife surprised me with a signed copy of Jack's book "Because it was Sunday" for Christmas. The best part of the gift was when I received a phone call (from Jack) to wish me a Merry Christmas.
3. 3. I was always fascinated by cars, growing up, especially muscle cars. I held on to that passion and had a goal of getting "a muscle car" after graduating from college. The 1987 Grand National (GN) was it. The look was super cool and the GN was the quickest 0 to 60 mph production car made. My dream car! For me, setting goals, chasing dreams and achieving success are a big part of enjoying life!
4. 4. My family and I are involved in charitable events. One of our proudest moments was being selected to speak on Capitol Hill and request an increase in NIH budget funding for a very worthy cause (Cystic Fibrosis). We achieved our goal. Miracles do happen!
5. 5. My passion for predicting the outcome of NFL games started with the goal of wanting to "Beat the Man". What started as a concept (i.e. have a football prediction TV show) grew into a successful prognosticating business. I recall those 5 subject notebooks filled with handwritten stats, charts, trends and my unique combination of traditional and situational handicapping styles. I knew I could be an elite (NFL) handicapper and needed the right platform to take me to the next level. Enter the legendary Marc Lawrence and Playbook Enterprises. What an honor and privilege it is to be able to call myself a Playbook Expert and to be included among the best handicappers in the business.
