Questions & Interviews
I'm Matt Fargo and here are 5 things you didn't know about me...
- 1. Numbers have always been a strength of mine as math came easy during school and I ended up getting an accounting degree from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY. I went that route for only a few years as it was too monotonous and I used my numbers background to start delving into sports handicapping and the rest is history.
- 2. My love for music started early growing up in rural upstate New York in the 1970s and while it was mostly country music that I was introduced to, I came to appreciate the song lyrics. I became a fan of rock and roll which evolved into the grunge era of the 1990s and then the alternative rock movement in the 2000s which is still my go to.
- 3. While the COVID days were horrible for many both mentally and physically, including myself, during that time I was introduced to half brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews I did not know I had and it certainly changed my life for the good. Many consider that a dark time and I am not denying that but it also was a time that brought me great joy.
- 4. I have never lived outside of the northeast and while many would consider that a sheltered life, I treat it as a blessing. From the Syracuse area to Boston for a decade after college to presently to the Rochester area, many great bonds and relationships have been formed. I do plan a move south at some point and I will certainly miss the four seasons.
- 5. I found out later in life that I was adopted as a child, hence the introduction to the other family members, and while it was a mix of surprise and anger, I have grown to obviously cherish it. I was actually born Peter Matthew Fargo and it was changed to Mattherw Peter Fargo three days later. I can thank my adoptive parents for the name Matt Fargo which during grade school became Fatt Margo after kids discovered switching the first letters of my name created a much funnier name (LOL).
