2022 Playbook Football 10 Questions Interviews

1. When did you begin handicapping sports professionally, and how did you get started?
I moved to Las Vegas in 1990 and quickly became known as one of the sharpest sports bettors on The Strip and was dubbed "The First Lady of Las Vegas" Living in Vegas and having access to betting 24/7, I started handicapping games and looking at them much more closely. I began in the business at a much younger age. I grew up in Cicero, Illinois around the social clubs and neighborhood betting parlors. I had a knack for picking winners at a young age. I moved to Vegas when I turned 21. A few years later, I met and married my husband, world champion handicapper, Joe D'Amico and the rest is history.

2. Who has most influenced your handicapping career?
My husband Joe D'Amico (world champion sports handicapper). The most important thing he taught me is that "Less is More". You don't have to bet or put out a ton of games. The more selective, the fewer the games, the better the profit. You're not here for action, you're here to make money!

3. What is your primary method approach to handicapping sports?
I am a technical person and put stock into trends and streaks. However, it always comes down to one thing…does the line give me an advantage.

4. What is the biggest score you've made in your sports wagering career?
I bet daily here in Las Vegas and money management is key to me. I bet anywhere from one to five dimes and sometimes more per game. I have made a few substantial "scores" betting money line parlays profiting as much as mid-five figures.

5. What is the worst bad beat you've suffered in your sports wagering career?
I have had a game or two in which a team might have a lead and played not to lose, instead of playing to win. I think we all also had a basketball last-second shot that brought us from cashing to losing.

6. Who are your favorite NFL and College Football teams, and why?
Growing up in Illinois, my whole family was a Chicago Bears fan. Once I began my career in sports handicapping, my favorite team is whoever makes me money. But I am a Brady and Gronkowski fan. Plus, I root for my home team the Raiders. I never had a favorite College Football team growing up. But as a bettor, I have cashed quite a few tickets with the Georgia Bulldogs.

7. Which NFL and College Football teams do you feel will be the biggest surprise in 2022?
NFL Cardinals and Colts. NCAAF Notre Dame and Auburn.

8. Which NFL and College Football teams do you feel will be the biggest disappointment in 2022?
NFL Eagles and Chargers. NCAAF Wisconsin and Nebraska.

9. Do you feel the College Football Playoff should expand, and if so to how many teams?
If it's not broken, don't fix it. More will complicate things. It's good the way it is.

10.What is your best handicapping advice heading into the 2022 football season?
Bet with your head, not with your heart.
